The Subtle Abyss, by Joel Biroco

The Subtle Abyss is Joel Biroco’s exploration of ‘the landscape of madness’. An exercise in opening oneself up to the dark voices that pass through during ‘the séance on the typewriter’. To a certain extent an automatic writing, it is a ghostly and demonic work with the eloquence of The Adversary, and perhaps a codicil to the longer book Demonic in Thought, though it can be read as a standalone piece. A meditation on the darkness.
