The Coronzon Press

Joel Biroco’s World of Dust is out now

The Coronzon Press is a small publishing house in London that brings out a few books when it feels like it. Usually the kind of book that has to come out, otherwise it will burst a dam, set fire to something, or put its author in the madhouse. We published works in the 80s and the 90s, and then we stopped for some while. We have returned to publish books written by Joel Biroco over the past ten years. World of Dust is out now, and the next book will be published in the not-too-distant future. We are also broadcasting readings by Biroco made especially for this site.

We like books that are intensely private. Nietzsche once wrote: ‘I intend never again to read an author of whom it is apparent that he wanted to produce a book, but only those whose thoughts unintentionally became a book.’ Bravo that statement!

Writing should be something sloughed off like a skin. An artefact of an elusive necessity, not a profession. E M Cioran said: ‘Write books only if you are going to say in them the things you would never dare confide to anyone.’
